The weeping Japanese ornamental cherry can reach a height of 1-3 m and a width of 1.5-2.5 m, depending on the height of the trunk. Its crown bends downward with dense shoots. Its leaves are broad and lance-shaped, reddish when they emerge, and in autumn they adorn the tree with orange shades. It blooms in April-May, with pink flowers before the leaves emerge. It prefers sun and well-structured, nutrient-rich soil. After planting it requires watering, and later it can tolerate short-term drought. Spectacular planted as a specimen tree, but it also makes a striking composition with lower shrubs and bushes.
